Playing with mud.

The ceramic process has been a profound journey, teaching me humility, grace, and patience—qualities for which I am incredibly grateful. Creating something with your hands, whether for personal use or as a gift for someone special, is to me, what encapsulates the real purpose of having a craft overall. After spending so much time using my hands to type away at a keyboard all day, it just feels good to stick my fingers in some clay and get dirty again.

Studio Lam is the name of my ceramic practice. It’s pretty simple: Lam is my surname, and I wouldn’t have the luxury of practicing ceramics. Thanks to them, I can revel in a life where I mold clay and create pieces that have somehow made it around the world. This brings me immense joy and I hope sharing it with you brings some joy into your life too!

There will be a new ceramics site coming soon, but until then, please enjoy some pictures of my progress so far.
